New Orleans in the News

On CNN tonight at 9 pm cst, Anderson Cooper 360 will be live from New Orleans. This was originally scheduled to air last night, so we have one more chance!

from the CNN website:
"Billions of your tax dollars spent to repair New Orleans. The result? More homeless families, a soaring murder rate and out of control fraud. 360° follows the money...". This would be worth taking a look to see very current issues, particularly under the backdrop of When the Levees Broke, which many of you have watched over the last two weeks. When the Levees Broke was release just before the one-yer anniversary of Katrina. This will help you gain perspective on how the city has progressed, or more often not, over the last two and a half years.

Also in the news over the last couple of weeks, click here to see some information and video from a piece on the CBS series 48 Hours Mystery on the trial of the Manganos, whose nursing home was the site of an incredible and tragic loss of life in the floods following Hurricane Katrina.
